Subject: SUPPORT OF BILL 91 TO BAN USE OF GLYPHOSATE
Why would any municipality use Glyphosate with the known deadly and debilitating disease it has caused?
Convenience or being cost-effective possibly? However those rationalities could only be made by choosing to ignore
the long and damning body of research, and the $$BILLIONS in payouts from court findings where Monsanto/Bayer
has been found guilty of causing deadly disease with this product the World Health Organization has deemed
carcinogenic. So, Glyphosate is cheap and effective for spraying on roadways VS having crews of workers weedeat?
But when those workers develop Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma or any number of other painful debilitating conditions
associated with this toxin, as have scores of victims which has been proven in court,who pays their hospital bills? Is
this factored into the County's budget? What about the keiki on the playground where it was sprayed? What about the
damage like autism, ADHD and other conditions researchers have found caused by this poison? Is the County going
to factor in those expenses? Or is the County inviting being sued when families learn they had the option to not use a
known carcinogen that knowingly caused deadly disease, but did it anyway? Is anyone reading this prepared to take
on that financial and personal responsibility of killing and causing disease? Because that's exactly what this poison
does.
