Testimony Ire SuPport of Resolution 292-22
Malama MakuahmeYear of the other 2022
As a member of the Hawai°i County Committee on the Status of Women,
i am in full support of Resolution 292-22, We look forward to a full year
of events in recognition of the unique contributions mothers make to
our community, as well as the challenges they face.
An integral pari of this project will be bringing forth the testimonies of
mothers and those who serve them in an effort to elevate the status and
quality of life for our Hawaigi County families. We will be advocating on
behalf of any legislation that supports mothers and families in our
community, as well as the `aina we call home.
A special mahalo to Hawaii County Councilmembers Heather Kimball
and Ashley Kierkiewicz for their work in drafting this important
document and for partnering with us throughout the year to make this
an impactful initiative.
Therefore, i encourage everyone to show support for the mothers in our
lives through acts of genuine kindness, appreciation, and meaningful
understanding, and to wear our signature lavender ribbon in recognition
of Malama Makuahine Year of the Mother 2022.
