Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety, to which was referred
Communication No. 579, reports as follows:
Communication No. 579, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated December 21, 2021,
submitting for the Council's review and confinnation the nomination of Jennifer Yadao of
Council District 4 to the Liquor Commission.
The nominee appeared in the Kona Chambers.
Several Council Members commented in favor of the nominee's appointment. Chair Inaba
informed the nominee that final confirmation at Council will be on February 9, 2022.
Pursuant to Sections 7-3.2 and 13-4 of the Hawaii County Charter, members of the Liquor
Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by Council.
Your Committee on Parks and Recreation and Public Safety is in accord with the purpose and intent
of Communication No. 579, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of Jennifer Yadao to
the Liquor Commission.
