A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF COVID VACCINATION TRANSPORATION SERVICES FROM UBER.
WHEREAS, Uber is donating COVID vaccination transportation services up to $75,000; and
WHEREAS, the above donation covers transportation to get to the vaccination site and to return home for both the first and second COVID vaccination shots; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, provides that the council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Mass Transit Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I, in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaiʻi County Charter, the County of Hawaiʻi, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Mass Transit Agency, the Department of Finance, and the Office of the Mayor.
