Aloha Hawaii County Councilmembers,
I am in opposition to the nomination of Shane Vincent to the Leeward Planning Commission.
Mr. Vincent was absent at the Planning Committee meeting where his nomination was heard.
I would like to know his plans to support economic growth and development. Mr. Vincent
represents a special interest as he owns Vincent Construction Management, and is closely
tied to development and construction. I am concerned about recommendations and decisions
he will make as a commissioner.
I would like our mayor to consider nominating someone with no perceived or actual conflict
of interest. This position is extremely important to the health of our environment and our
people.
