Aloha Hawaii County Councilmembers,
This letter is being submitted in opposition to the nomination of Shane Vincent to the Leeward
Planning Commission. Asa member of the Kona community and someone who has been born and raised in
Hawaii, it is very disheartening and disappointing that our elected leaders continue exploit our
communities, our land and resources by systematically nominating people with hidden agendas and bias's
like Mr. Vincent. It is not pono and it is certainly unethical for a person like Mr. Vincent who's business is
tied to construction and development in the very area that he'd be making decisions on as a commissioner
to be nominated for this position. Our leaders are elected to serve the PEOPLE, not their own agendas and
their own selfish gain. Auel
