Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Matthew Terlep of District 1 to the Transportation Commission.
Mr. Terlep has been a resident of Hawaii Island for 25 years. He is a graduate of Konawaena
High School and attended the National Business Academy in California and Mission College. He
served as Vice President of Operations at ICH Group, President and CEO of Kanani Foods Inc.,
and is currently the COO of Eye Care Hawaii.
Mr. Terlep has tirelessly volunteered his time and talent to numerous organizations and is
passionate about continuing to give back in this capacity. He believes he is best suited to
contribute in a meaningful way that directly impacts the community he lives in where he is
currently raising his `Ghana.
If confirmed, he will serve a term ending December 31, 2026.
