Aloha Council Chair David and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Lauren Balog to the Windward Planning Commission.
Ms. Balog is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i Island. She is a graduate of St. Joseph's High School
and currently attends the University of Hawai'i at Hilo College of Agriculture. She is currently
employed with Edwin De Luz Trucking and Gravel LLC where she oversees the dispatch
department and assists with prescreening candidates for employment.
She has contributed numerous hours of community service and volunteerism by assisting with
youth programs and food distributions. She is passionate about contributing to the betterment of
her community through her continued interest and willingess to serve.
If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2026.
