It is my pleasure to nominate Laurisa Nishimoto of District 5 to the Liquor Commission.
Ms. Nishimoto is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i Island. She retired after 33 years of service with
the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations and the Department of Education.She is a
proud graduate of Waidkea High School and the University of Hawai'i at Hilo where she
received her Education Certificate and Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
Ms. Nishimoto`s `Ohana owned and operated successful locally grown businesses on Hawai'i
Island. She is passionate and ready to continue serving her community by volunteering.
If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2026.
