From Council Member Holeka Goro Inaba, dated December 14, 2021.
Motion to Close File: Ms. Lee Loy moved to close file on Comm. 176.9.
Seconded by Ms. David.
CHR. INABA: Before we get started with this communication today, we're doing
something a little different for this Haweo Award. And I'd like to reference
Communication 176. 10, which was submitted by Council Member Villegas. And
it's to acknowledge and recognize additional people who were apart of this rescue
mission last year. And we have joining us in Kona chambers today, these
individuals and our representatives from the Hawaii Police Department. First of
all I'd call Sergeant Hardy up to the table and if he would first do the honors of
introducing our nominee of the Haweo Award. And then we'll also be sharing a
little bit about the others who are here today, as well.
