Re: Operating Budget .
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating an
additional $200,000 into the Office of Housing and Community Development's Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG)—Program Income account. The original appropriation for
Program Year(PY) 2021 for CDBG funds was $150,000, bringing the new total to $350,000.
The additional funds will be put into the Ulu Wini Low Income Housing WWTP—Repairs
account in accordance with the PY 2021 CDBG Annual Action Plan.•

A. REQUEST:
Please submit the attached bill to amend Ordinance No.21-38,as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of Hawaii for the
Fiscal Year ending June 30,2022,to add additional CDBG Program Income revenue and appropriate the same for the General Fund,
as follows:

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Office of Housing and Community Development(OHCD)anticipates receiving additional $200,000.00 in program
income. This additional program income will come into the County as Residential Rehabilitation Program loan
repayments. In accordance with the PY 2021 CDBG Annual Action Plan, these program income payments will be put into
the Ulu Wini Low Income Housing VVVVTP—Repairs as revenue.
