SUBJECT: Presentation of the March 2022 Haweo Award to HPD Recipient
on March 22, 2022—Parks and Recreation & Public Safetv Committee
We are requesting approximately 10 minutes for presentation of the March 2022 Hdweo Award
to Officer Johnathan Rapoza of the Hawaii Police Department.
We request that this presentation take place on the Parks and Recreation and Public Safety
Committee on March 22, 2022, and that this committee be scheduled at 9:00 a.m. to better
accommodate the department's schedule.
The Haweo Award Program recognizes employees of our Police and Fire `ohana that perform
their duties "above and beyond the call". "Haweo"means to glow or to be radiant, and it is right
and just to recognize department employees who serve as shining examples of Hawaii County's
finest public servants.
