A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF TWO BLACK AND WHITE COPIERS FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY
CLERK, SUPPORT SERVICES DIVISION.
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more
than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawai‘i wishes to enter into a five-year lease agreement for two black and white copiers for the Office of the County Clerk, Support Services Division; and
WHEREAS, the Support Services Division is responsible for providing reprographic services for all County departments and agencies; and
WHEREAS, the lease for the current black and white copiers in the Support Services Division has expired and replacements are necessary due to the high volume of reprographic requests;
and
WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk wishes to enter into a five-year lease agreement for approximately $3,170 per month for two black and white copiers, for an estimated savings
of $380 compared to the previous lease; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement for two black and white copiers for the Office of
the County Clerk, Support Services Division.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Honorable Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, Director of Finance, and Support Services Supervisor.
