Re: Operating Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by increasing-the
General Fund's Fund Balance from Previous Year account by $735,600 and.
appropriating it to the Planning OCE, Trans To Sewer Fund , Trans To Solid Waste Fund,
Trans To Golf Course Fund, and Prov Compensation Adj-G accounts. These funds will
be used to cover the cost items agreed to between the employers and the United]Public
Workers (UPW) for Bargaining Unit 1 and employees excluded from Bargaining Unit 1 •
for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 and to cover unanticipated costs that
have arisen throughout the year.
Also enclosed are three additional bills for ordinances amending the Operating Budget by
appropriating $55,000 of the fund balance that we plan to transfer into the Sewer Fund,
$106,000 of the fund balance that we plan to transfer into the Solid Waste Fund and
$15,000 of the fund balance that we plan to transfer into the Golf Course Fund.
We respectfully request that these four bills be waived from the Finance Committee and
placed on the on the March 23, 2022 Council agenda in order to expedite this process. If
