._-.••,. <br /> OF H,1 <br /> 4••� A. <br /> 7i:•'• <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII `��' /, <br /> ` �* ��-'''=��� .•I STATE OF HAWAII <br /> •'• +O-� NANO i �\ <br /> •ltE OF•HF'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 34S 22 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF <br /> TWELVE (12) BUSES FROM THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU <br /> DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation <br /> Services is donating twelve (12) 1997 40-foot Gilling Phantom buses to the County of <br /> Hawaii's Mass Transit Agency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the buses will be used to provide island-wide public transportation <br /> within the County of Hawaii;.and <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated value of this donation is $50,000; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance,may be accepted by resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii's Mass Transit Agency recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
