A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DONATION OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE FROM THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO THE HAWAI‘I COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the State of Hawai‘i Department of Health is donating various computer equipment and software to the County of Hawai‘i; and
WHEREAS, this computer equipment and software, with an estimated value of $11,499.68, consists of one (1) Fujitsu fi-730 Color Duplex Professional Document Scanner, two (2) Adobe Photoshop
Elements 2021, Windows, eight (8) Brother HLLL5200DWT Business Laser Printers, and twenty (20) LG 34” IPS HDR WFHD Monitors; and
WHEREAS, this computer equipment and software will be utilized by the Hawai‘i County Police Department to produce various reports; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal
property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawai‘i County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities,
or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Hawai‘i County Police Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawai‘i County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a)
of the Hawai‘i County Code, the Council of the County of Hawai‘i accepts this donation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this resolution be sent to Hawai‘i Department of Health, OHSM Attn: Brian Pang, 1250 Punchbowl St., Room 107, Honolulu,
HI 96813.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Police Department, the Department of Finance, and the Office of the Mayor.
