Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 333-22, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 333-22, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via
Communication No. 651 dated February 17, 2022, authorizes the payment of funds of a later
fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a multi-year agreement with Marshall and Swift
for appraisal software and data.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year agreement with a total cost of
$295,235.48 to renew software licenses for the Real Property Tax Division.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawaii County Charter, any contract, lease, or other obligation
requiring the payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year shall be made or
approved by resolution by the County Council.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 333-22,
and recommends its adoption.
