J�4y'®F 141,4 <br /> COUNTY OF HA.WAI`I STATE OF HA AI`I <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING N APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM ESIGNAT FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING A TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANTT THE DANIEL R. <br /> SAYRE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION TO PURCHASE A WATER FILTRATION <br /> SYSTEM AND ICE MAKER FOR THE HAWAVI FIRE DEPARTMENT'S KAILUA <br /> FIRE STATION IN WEST A AI`L <br /> WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization whose mission is to provide fire, emergency, rescue equipment and supplies, or <br /> funding to purchase fire, emergency, rescue equipment and supplies, to the Hawaii County Fire <br /> Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department has identified the need for a water filtration <br /> system and ice maker at its Kailua Fire Station in West Hawaii, which will improve <br /> departmental readiness during emergency and hazard responses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is requesting funds to purchase a <br /> water filtration system and ice maker for the Hawaii Fire Department's Kailua Fire Station in <br /> West Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department mission is to provide exceptional, all hazards <br /> emergency servies to the residents and visitors of Hawaii Island; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire <br /> Department to provide a grant to the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation to purchase a water <br /> filtration system and ice maker for the Hawaii Fire Department's Kailua Fire Station in West <br /> Hawaii. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
