0J�4Y OF N,� <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII °_ STATE OF HAWAII <br /> r <br /> 'MTE OF•M'� <br /> RESOLUTION ION NO. 357 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF "PHASE 1" OF THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII MOBILE APPLICATION, KAHEA TO THE <br /> DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY <br /> WHEREAS, the Duane Kurisu and the AIO Family of Companies is donating the <br /> design and development of "Phase 1" of the County of Hawaii mobile application, <br /> Kahea to the County of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, this mobile application, with an estimated value of $45,000, will <br /> allow the County of Hawaii to provide quicker and more effective messaging, ultimately <br /> promoting greater transparency; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
