My name is Natasha Hirata. I am a small-business owner and a stay-at-home mom.
A few weeks ago I saw a friend and as I approached her, I waved at her awkwardly. My initial reaction was to run up
to her and give her a big hug and honi. But it was stifled because of this un-aloha mask culture that has been
shoved down our throats the last two years!
I asked her, "May I give you a hug?Are we allowed to do that?"
After that exchange my heart felt heavy and frankly, I was pissed off. "Are we allowed to do that?"
I know the answer! GOD tells me I know the answer. But it seems like you guys forgot!
You took an oath to defend the constitution and protect it against foreign and domestic threats! We have had a
domestic threat against our freedoms for two years and it's overdo for you to STAND-UP for the people!!!
This legislative branch has not only violated human rights, by not honoring your oath of office, but you are complicit
in harassment and discrimination against the people by threatening businesses who honor human rights and medical
freedom by allowing people to shop mask free. There is no science that masks work against viruses. In fact, the
opposite is true!
Regardless of the efficacy of masks or vaccines or social distancing, it is NOT the government's job to dictate my
health choices!
Your jobs are NOT to enforce unlawful mandates or to encourage businesses to discriminate. It's disgusting and
exhausting that I even have to evoke my religious exemption to NOT self-suffocate myself or my kids for basic
services.
People keep saying, "It's just a mask." It does NOT matter! Next we will be harassed and denied service for not
getting an experimental jab that in my opinion is more harmful than beneficial.
I ask that our God-given rights be acknowledged and the tyranny and government overreach END. I ask that our
cultural embrace of the hug and honi be destigmatized!
How are we going to claim to be the Aloha State when we are being told to cover our alo and our ha is toxic.
