In recognition of significant and chronic Hawaii Island housing shortages,the Kona Kohala Chamber of Commerce has named
Housing as one of its three main focus area for 2022. We support housing development at all inventory levels and particularly
affordable housing,and are therefore in full support of the SMA zoning change applications before you in regard to the Kumu
Hou project Waikoloa Land Company is proposing,and especially appreciate the inclusion of affordable housing in this
project. We urge you to approve these zoning changes and commend Waikoloa Land Company's commitment to housing.
