HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0608.006 2020-2022 bill 120 CON.03 From: Lorn Douglas Sent: Thursday, February 17, 2022 7:18 AM To: Council Testimony Subject: Support for Bill 120 Aloha Councilpersons, My wife and I have been driving Electric Vehicles (EV's) for well over a decade and have over 150,000 gas free miles. As the world adopts EVs EV's, the infrastructure must be in place and maintained. Luckily we have a solar system that charges our cars but many people do not even have a home option to install a charger and rely on public charging. Many chargers have been broken for years at a time. We used to rely on the chargers at Home Depot and they have been broken for years. The fisrt chargers were at WalMart and they were broken for over 5 years. The chargers at Target are pathetic in their underperformance. Its time to put some teeth into the legislation. Please support this bill, its essential for us to reach our goals for the island and state.. Lorn Douglas Lower Puna Corrâ–ºmo. Ref. o: Ref. DateVPP 9 9 )fi`9 1
