My name is Lee Frisius and I live on the Kona side of the island. I am in support of this bill but I've never experienced
a problem with someone parked in a charging stall illegally. I am an EV owner but choose not to waste my time with
a level 2 charger. I charge exclusively at the Helco DC, level 3 charger on Kaiwi in Kona. More of these "fast"
chargers are needed across the island. Without them the statements regarding becoming less dependent on fossil fuel
is just lip service. The lack of infrastructure to support our community in the adoption of EV vehicles is the biggest
obstacle.
But, for those who choose to charge at the charging stalls at the commercial locations there should not be non EV
vehicles in those locations.
