To Whom It May Concern,
I am a constituent of District 1 and have concerns about the limited number of EV chargers in Hilo. I bought an
electric car over a year ago and since then the HELLO CCS charger on Kilauea has been out of service for the
majority of the time. Chargers by Aupuni Street are not in working condition. There are no other chargers within
walking distance to downtown. I am writing in support of Bill 4120 and would like to further advocate for more
chargers within walking distance of downtown, including fast chargers and ensuring that chargers already in place are
in working order. Implementation of working chargers in our community will help to stem the detrimental effects of
climate change.
