Subject: Support for Bill 120
Hello,
I've owned an EV in Hawaii county for about 3 years, and I support bill 120 so you can enforce rules related to charging stations in j
large parking structures.
I
I have experienced difficulty trying to use the public charging stations, because many are broken or occupied by non-EV cars. The
passage of bill 120 would help EV owners, and increase the visibility of a viable EV charging infrastructure. It may boost EV
ownership in Hawaii county when more people see EV owners getting a free charge and preferred parking at the charging parking I
lots. I think the opposite occurs now when they walk past broken charging stations. I
I
Passage of bill 120 could help meet Hawaii state EV goals and help people to think about an EV for their next purchase. Additionally,
the county would have a minimal burden of enforcement due to the small number of large parking lots in Hawaii county.
Mahalo,
Torrey Wagner
