I As proposed, Bill 111 will appropriate 75°1 of the property tax revenue that is collected by the County from residential tier two properties in support of programs aimed at addressing our community's mounting homeless challenges. As a long-standing committed business stakeholder in our community and a vested partner of some of the programs working on solutions for our homeless and vulnerable populations, we have had the honor and privilege to collaborate and contribute to the efforts being made on this issue. In working with organizations such as HOPE Services Hawaii and Habitat for Humanity, we have observed firsthand the many challenges these organizations face and the need for more financial support. The anticipated revenue expected to be generated by the passage of this measure would be substantial and greatly increase the capacity and capabilities of such programs with making an impact and difference on the growing homeless crisis. This potential funding would not only bring about much needed k housing solutions but also include possible assistance for other ancillary services and support for the complex and contributing factors of the homeless problem. Thank you for the opportunity to provide testimony in support of Bill 111 and I strongly encourage the passage of this measure for our community. Sincerely, Jason Fujimoto, President & CEO HPM BLILLDR40 SUPPLY t PHONE 808.966.5466•FAX 808.966.7564 Comm. No. -166 MELEKAHIWA STREET•KEAM,HI 96749 Rif, To: ? HPhiHA:lAil COh Ref.
