It is my pleasure to nominate Cayla Crivello of District 8 to the Public Access, Open Space, and
Natural Preservation Commission.
Ms. Crivello is a graduate of Kamehameha Kapalama, Hawai'i Community College, and Oregon
State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an
applied Ecology Concentration Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As a
Native Hawaiian with genealogical connections to Hawai'i Island, Ms. Crivello is invested in the
well-being and security of our community.
As a Hawai'i Island Burial Council member, she participates in discussions, provides
suggestions, and makes determinations. Additional community service consists of aloha `aina
workdays at a variety of community activities in Kona. Ms. Crivello is currently employed with
Ala Kahakai Trail Association. If confirmed, she will serve a term ending December 31, 2025.
