Subject: Testimony Vicious Dog
Aloha!
I appreciate this bill and increasing safety and penalties for vicious dog attacks. I live in Hawaiian Paradise Park which is zoned
agricultural. I own a very loved and also equally expensive horse that resides in Hawaiian Paradise Park. I'm hopeful that this bill will
incorporate legal consequences if I'm riding my horse in my neighborhood and my horse is attacked by vicious dogs. I have had quite
a few terrifying encounters that could harm or kill myself or my$25,000 horse. Please pause for a moment and imagine yourself on
the back of a horse as it's surrounded by dogs lunging and biting at it,the horse does what they do which is try to run away in front
of a car or I fall off and I'm attacked as well. It's a genuine legitimate safety concern with close calls for all horse owners/riders. I'm
an animal lover but we have responsibilities to keep our animals contained for the safety of everyone.
