Subject: Support for bill 125 dog attac I
Dear Sir or Maam,
I wholeheartedly support bill 125 to increase penalties for dog attacks. I recently moved from Pahoa to HPP, and in
only six months, I have been repeatedly approached by aggressive dogs. I cannot walk in my neighborhood because
of all the loose dogs. This weekend a loose dog came in our yard and killed our rooster. I'm only thankful it attacked a
rooster and not my children. Another time, I had my wheelchair-bound daughter with me when my neighbor's off-
leash dogs snapped at us. A few weeks ago, while walking my 2nd grade son to the bus stop, two wandering dogs
growled at us and I chased them away by throwing rocks. Another time, I was walking with my toddler by our
driveway and my neighbor's loose pitbull charged us aggressively. We informed the neighbor about his dog, and he
acted like we were the ones in the wrong. Its only a matter of time before these vicious loose dogs attack or kill
someone else. The state needs to have authority to do whatever is necessary to stop these vicious dogs before the
worst happens. Please pass bill 125.
