PASS BILL 125 NOW!
Last August, 2421, Dolores Oskins, 85 year-old woman was viciously attacked while out on the street with her
small dog near her home. Her husband and brother-in-law who came to rescue her were also
mauled. Dolores' chest and throat were ripped open and she died a few weeks later from that attack.
Her husband was able to recover yet the images of the attack still haunt him.
THIS IS A CRITICAL POINT: Because of the weak, vague laws we currently have, THOSE DOGS ARE
STILL WITH THE OWNER WHO LIVES NEXT DOOR. Those dogs bark constantly at Dolores' husband
when he is outside. Can you imagine hearing those dogs daily, knowing that those dogs killed his wig This is
insane, yet the law allows that.
Another victim, Margaret Bartlett whose arm was severely mauled, is still waiting for a court hearing, 3 years
later!!!
Strengthen our laws to make serious injuries a Class C felony for the owner and for severe injuries or death a Class B
felony for the owners if negligence is determined.
