The actual revenue realized for Fuel Tax CIP was $3,100,014.94, exceeding the budgeted amount by $100,014.94. For FY 2021-22, $3,000,000 is budgeted for Fuel Tax CIP revenue. It is anticipated that the Fuel Tax CIP revenue will exceed the budgeted amount by $600,000 Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to appropriate these excess revenues to the Capital Projects Fund in order for the Department of Public Works to expend it. REQUEST: The Department of Public Works is requesting an ordinance to amend Ordinance 21- , by adding appropriation to the Operating Budget to appropriate excess Fuel Tax revenues to the Capital Projects Fund: Revenue 020.3609.08 Fund Balance from Previous Year- Reserved $100,014.94 020.3104.06 Fuel Tax- Designated CIP $600,000.00 Appropriation 020.801.5801.34.341 Transfer to Capital Projects Fund $700,014.94 B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): In FY 2020-21, $3,000,000 was budgeted for Fuel Tax CIP revenue. The actual Fuel Tax CIP revenue realized was $3,100,014.94, exceeding the budgeted amount by $100,014.94. In FY 2021-22, $3,000,000 is budgeted for Fuel Tax CIP revenue. The actual Fuel Tax CIP revenue we anticipate receiving may exceed the budgeted amount by $600,000. A bill for an ordinance to appropriate these excess revenues received and anticipated of$700,014.94 to the Transfer to Capital Projects Fund is needed in order for the Department of Public Works to expend the funds.
