RESOLUTION AUTHORIZINGH T OF FUNDS
TER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR
FOR A MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES
O ANALYZE AND PROPOSE AMENDMENTS TO THE HAWAII
COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), CHAPTER
23, SUBDIVISIONS AND CHAPTER 25, ZONING FOR THE
PLANNING DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a
later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year
agreement for two (2) years, for consultant services to analyze and propose
amendments to the Chapter 23, Subdivisions and Chapter 25, Zoning of the
Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended); and
WHEREAS, subdivision control and zoning codes require review and revision
to provide consistency and to ensure best practices in land use regulations; now
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a two (2) year
agreement for the services as indicated above, for the Planning
Department.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the
agreement.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of
Hawaii shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, the
Planning Department and the Department of Finance.
