RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
NATION OF AN APOLLO SPINNER TO THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
i
WHEREAS,the Friends of Pu`u Nui Park is donating an Apollo Spinner to the
County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and j
i
WHEREAS,this piece of playground equipment, valued at approximately $22,000,
will be installed at the Waikoloa Community Park; and
WHEREAS, Article XHI, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter,provides that the
council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other
personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this
donation; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in
accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of
Hawaii, accepts this donation.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Department of Parks and Recreation, the Department of Finance, and the
Office of the Mayor.
