Subject: support recycling
Aloha,
As a local resident for my entire life (35 years) and small business owner for the last 13 years in the downtown area. I
have seen the issues of rubbish/waste on our island and the lack of resources here become increasingly alarming. Its
so disheartening and sad.
I have two small children that will be left with this mess if we don't make drastic changes- FAST!
We are a family that recycles regularly and will continue to pass on that knowledge for our future generations. Please
support this change islandwide.
I humbly ask the County Council Committee of Finance to please increase the funding allocated for recycling
programs throughout the whole island. We need our tax dollars to go towards the future of our keiki, the future of our
beautiful island, and moving away from wasteful practices of landfilling.
