Honorable Curtis Tyler
Hawaii County Council
25 Aupuni Street
Hilo, Hawaii 96720
Dear Curtis:
At our regular Association Board of Directors meeting
on October 13, 1999, we discussed the Drag strip and Race
track draft resolution you had provided to me.
The consensus unanimously supports the admonition in
sub patagraph three of that draft resolution. However, it
was pointed aut that the proposed site of the West Hawaii
Campus of the University of Hawaii should also be donsidered
when site selections are under rdview.
Finally, based on mainland experiences of Board Mem-
bers, extra police patrols are recommended on public road-
ways before and after racing events to suppress tha drivers
utge to emulate the race drivers. Again this is a safety
concern.
Thank you Eor your interest on this matter.
Sincerely,
Roy Mushrush
