Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 154,reports as follows:
Bill No. 154,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 736 dated
March 31, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 21-38, as amended,the operating budget for the County of
Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants—Traffic Safety Training Project account ($3,000);
and appropriates the same to the Traffic Safety Training Project account,bringing the total
appropriation to $153,000. Funds would be used to provide specialized training for police and
prosecutors to combat impaired driving.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 154, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
