Additional federally derived funds in the amount of <br /> $1,250,000 are being provided by the Hawaii State Emergency Management Agency in <br /> relation to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the FEMA- COVID-19 account, bringing the total appropriation to <br /> $4,500,000. <br /> We respectfully request that this bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be <br /> placed on the May 18, 2022 Council agenda in order to expedite this process.
