Subject: Support of Bill 152 and 153
Aloha Councilmembers,
I fully support Bills 152 and 153 to help residents from being homeless.
In 2018 when the lava covered Kapoho, I found myself homeless with very few options. The shelters were full and
the rental market was inundated because of the great need of so many left homeless in this event.
I understand that these Bills are not necessarily to provide housing during disasters; however, the ongoing need is
there and growing. The housing market and rentals are out of reach for many families.
Please pass Bills 152 and 153.
