Hawaii County Council.
Please accept this testimony in FAVOR of Bill 152 to amend the County Charter in favor of affordable housing. I urge you to
positively consider this bill.There are several implementation factors to be worked out with regards to how the OHCD would
apply this language to serve and protect the interests of existing neighborhoods and put measures in place to mitigate the
expected abuse of the programs intent. So I ask you to give favorable consideration while being vigilant to the unintended
potential negative impacts.
