Sorry to be the 'odd man' but especially to be the 'odd man' and also late.
The fuel tax should only be raised, not lowered. Yes, people are hurting but not nearly as much as they
will be hurting as the climate crisis unfolds. Somehow we need to make people stop using gasoline. That
the price of gasoline is skyrocketing is the best thing that could happen. If some people are 'left out' then
figure out how to support those people who need support in some other way. Sure, you're worried about
your jobs if you vote 'no' on this undoubtedly popular bill. But this is what Secretary General Guterres was
referring to when he accused the world's leaders of abdication of responsibility in the face of the imminent
climate crisis. He was talking about you.
