Aloha,
I would like to ask for your support to approve Resolution 374-22 to provide funds for Kohala High School Project Grad 2022.
Project Grad was established in response to escalating injuries among our graduates in alcohol and drug related accidents on
graduation night. This event continues to prevent tragedies on Hawaii Island.
We are a non-profit IRS 501(c)(3)organization that promotes making good choices throughout the school year and culminates in
a fun, safe, alcohol and drug free event held on graduation night, protecting graduates when they are most vulnerable and
creating memories with their classmates that they can cherish for a lifetime.
The class of 2022 is unique in that they navigated and endured difficult&challenging times through a pandemic during their high
school years. As a result, this graduating class missed out on many activities that were part of normal student life. We are
excited that this event can take place to celebrate the Kohala High School Class of 2022's achievements and encourage them
on their next step in their future endeavors.
Thank you in advance for supporting this important event that protects the future of Kohala.
