Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 388-22, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 388-22, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 758
dated April 14, 2022, amends Resolution 168-21 authorizing the Office of the Mayor to enter into an
agreement with the University of Hawaii.
This resolution amends Resolution Number 168-21 to increase the funding amount for the Kuleana
Health project from $100,000 to $200,000.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13, Hawaii County Charter,the
Mayor is authorized to apply for, receive, and expend the funds for contracts with private parties,
other counties, the State, or the United States government for functions or activities which the County
is authorized to perform.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 388-22, and
recommends its adoption.
