Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 162, reports as follows: j

Bill No. 162,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 753 dated
April 14, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 21-38, as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawaii for fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
This bill increases revenues in the Fund Balance from Previous Year—Reserved account
($100,014.94) and the Fuel Tax—Designated Capital Improvement Projects account ($600,000); and
appropriates the same to the Transfer to Capital Projects Fund—Highway account. The appropriation a
of these excess revenues from prior fiscal year fuel tax collections is required to enable expenditure
of the funds.
There was no discussion on the measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 162, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
