ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Holeka Goro Inaba, Chair Mr. Aaron S. Y. Chung, Member (came in later) Ms. Maile Medeiros David, Member Ms. Heather L. Kimball, Member Ms. Susan L. K. Kierkiewicz, Member Ms. Rebecca Villegas, Member STATEMENTS FR ONA TT4P PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: COMMUNI- C A TTONq Comm. 176.14: The Chair directed the Committee to proceed to the next order of business, Statements from the Public on Agenda Items. (There were none.) CHR. INABA: If we can please move on to Communication 176.14. The Chair directed the Committee to proceed to the next order of business, Communications. REQUESTS A PRESENTATION OF THE MAY 2022 HAWED AWARD TO JENNA KOSINSKI-SANTOS, POLICE OFFICER — HAWAI`I POLICE DEPARTMENT From Council Member Holeka Goro Inaba, dated April 6, 2022. Motion to Close File: Ms. Lee Loy moved to close file on Comm. 176.14. Seconded by Mr. Richards. PRPSC-29 CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION: May 3, 2022 CHR. INABA: Good afternoon, everyone. If we could have Sergeant Correa come up, and our recipient of the Haweo award to the front table. And Sergeant Correa if you would please do the honors of introducing our awardee, and explaining a little bit about why she's here today. And what she's done that has really shown us the exemplary service of our first responders. (Note: At this time, the May 2022 HA`TVEO Award was presented to Jenna Kosinski-Santos, Police Officer Hawaii Police Department, in recognition of going above and beyond the call of duty. Police Sergeant Chris Correa came forward and provided statements regarding her exceptional activities in service to the community. Chair Inaba provided a celebratory Hawaiian Chant.) CHR. INABA: So we have a motion on the floor to close file on Communication 176.14. All those in favor, please say "aye." Vote on Comm. 176.12: Filed The motion to close file on Comm. 176.14 was carried by the following voice vote: Ayes: Committee Members Chung, David, Kimball, Lee Loy, Richards, and Chair Inaba — 6.
