No. 787/Res.No. 409-22 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:01 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 409-22, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 409-22, transmitted by the Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 787 <br /> dated April 29, 2022, authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Federal <br /> Highway Administration, pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, for a grant to the <br /> Department of Public Works. <br /> This resolution allows for the receipt of$726,000, to add 15 Hawai`i Island Bikeshare stations in <br /> Kailua-Kona and Hilo. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder provided comments in support of the measure, emphasizing <br /> the move toward providing sustainable modes of transportation. <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13, Hawaii County Charter,the <br /> Mayor is authorized to apply for, receive, and expend the funds for contracts with private parties, other <br /> counties,the State, or the United States government for functions or activities which the County is <br /> authorized to perform. <br /> Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 409-22, and <br /> recommends its adoption. <br /> arc <br /> AYES NOES ABS EX Respectfully submitted, <br /> CHUNG X <br /> DAVID x COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> INABA X <br /> KANEALI`I-KLEINFELDER X <br /> KIERKIEWICZ X <br /> KIMBALL x MATT KANEALI g ,INFELDER, CHAIR <br /> LEE LOY X <br /> RICHARDS X FC REPORT NO.: 151 <br /> VILLEGAS X ADOPTED: JUN 0 1 2022 <br />
