SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 126, Draft 2; Proposed Operating Budget for
Fiscal Year 2022-2023
Below is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 126, Draft 2, the proposed Operating Budget for fiscal
year 2022-2023. The State of Hawai`i, Hawai`i Tourism Authority, will provide a grant to the County
of Hawai`i, Department of Research and Development, to implement the Hawai`i Island Destination
Management Action Plan (DMAP) actions through the Resilience Corps and Community Tourism
Collaborative Programs. On behalf of the administration, I propose to amend appropriations in the
following General Fund revenue and expenditure accounts:
• Increases the HI Island Tourism Destination Mgmt Plan revenue account by $175,000; and
• Increases the HI Island Tourism Destination Mgmt Plan expense account by $175,000.
The above amendments to the General Fund accounts are reflected in detail in the table below:
