i <br /> vNtvf®s M,+t• <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII +' STATE OF IIAWAI`I <br /> ,rE os•µ�•� <br /> RFE <br /> 'i <br /> SOLUTI N NO. 4315 22 <br /> 'i <br /> i <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR <br /> i <br /> ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF HAWAII, <br /> HAWAI`1 TOURISM AUTHORITY, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR <br /> RANT TO THE HAWAII COUNTY RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> 3 <br /> 1 <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawai'i, Hawaii Tourism Authority has authorized <br /> I <br /> $175,000 to be provided to the County of Hawaii, Department of Research & <br /> Development to implement actions from the Hawaii Island Destination <br /> Management Action Plan (DMAP); and <br /> ,i <br /> WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to ensure that the Hawaii <br /> Island Tourism Strategic Plan (TSP) and DMAP goals and objectives are being <br /> achieved through the implementation of the Resilience Corp and Community <br /> Tourism Collaborative programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the <br /> federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the <br /> powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the <br /> County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement <br />
