SUBJECT: A Proposed Amendment to Resolution No. 423-22; A Resolution Determining the
Real Property Tax Rates for the County of Hawaii for Fiscal Year July 1, 2022, to
June 30, 2023.
Below is a proposed amendment to Resolution No. 423-22 to amend the real property tax rates
for fiscal year 2022-2023. The amendment also changes revenues and revenue percentages based
on the amended rates.
The proposed amendment is illustrated below in Ramseyer format with respect to Resolution
No. 423-22; material to be deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is
underscored. Due to time constraints, a draft copy of this resolution that would result if this
proposed amendment is adopted is not attached.
The enacting clause and the two BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED clauses are amended as follows:
`BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the approximate percentage of the revenue to be derived from real property taxes for net
taxable lands and net taxable buildings within each class of property are listed as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that based upon the aforementioned resolves, the
Council of the County of Hawaii hereby determines the following schedule of rates to which
the various classes of real property in the County of Hawaii shall be taxed per$1,000 of
assessed valuation for the fiscal year July 1, 2022,to June 30, 2023:
