Aloha: My name is Charles Young. I reside in Kealia South Kona.
I am writing in support of Bills 152 and 153 which are aimed at promoting further development of affordable housing for
Hawaii County.The County Administration has identified the need to build more affordable housing citing a lack of somewhere
around 10,000 units.The current developer driven process for building affordable housing is a non-incentive.The County
needs to look to different methods and processes to build housing that is truly affordable given the earning potential for the
majority of its' residents.
