You are not forth coming with information and, in fact, seem determined to keep everyone in the dark about what is going on with the welfare of our island's animals. Before you waste more of our money on these important topics, I suggest you educate yourselves with the public's perspectives. Your "animal control department" is under scrutiny. People are very concerned about the lack of accountability for missing animals and frustrated by the fact that there is no facility to view animals that are picked up. What happened to spay and neuter programs? What about educational programs for animal care and training? What about postings for local lost and found pets? So far, you seem to be depending on the volunteer rescue groups to fill in the blanks for everything the paid animal control employees don't do. Let's bring in a professional group, like RSPCA to run the program. If you continue to keep everyone in the dark, I guarantee there will be an investigative reporter covering this story on the news.
